There are some health benefits to be gained by going barefoot. We learn that going barefoot is considered good medicine. Some of those benefits include better posture, strengthening of legs and even fighting depression. 

But according to this article, we may have been doing it wrong. We can improve how we walk in shoes or bare foot. There are lots of videos in YouTube that show you the best walking techniques.

And maybe we can't go barefoot everywhere because of laws or health and safety concerns. But for those concerned about the safety of going barefoot, here a few do's and don'ts of barefoot walking to reduce foot pain and prevent injuries.

Nudists have the right idea. When you get home, give your feet a break. Kick off your shoes and walk around your house and your garden or yard barefoot. Let those tootsies free!
